What is the Stephanie Lekkos Sound Healing Method?
Sound healing is a powerful healing modality that combines multiple instruments and vibrational frequencies, which are layered to gently awaken the body, mind, and spirit simultaneously with love and care. Sound healing instruments are applied both on and off- the-body as energy work is integrated through touch, aromatherapy and the use of crystal elements. This all gently leads the client to relax and regain a state of harmony and a deep awareness. Using a combination of intuition, training, and experience I seek to infuse positive energy while grounding the client before deeper work begins.
My techniques are delivered using layered sounds from up to thirty instruments curated from around the world. My goal is to plant the seeds of healing and facilitate the growth of deep stillness and self care.
What Should I Expect From Sound Healing?
I specialize in combining sound healing instruments in specific ways to influence people’s brainwave frequencies, enabling them to enter an altered state of consciousness, similar to very deep relaxation or meditation techniques.
Just as we are all individuals with different perceptions, experiences and observations, everyone’s experience with sound healing is different, and new things may emerge in each therapy session. Client testimonials have ranged from feedback that they feel, calm, centered, peaceful, soothed, pain relief, better sleep, increased clarity and renewed energy. Some compare this unique experience to a deep meditative state, and it is not uncommon for people to feel so relaxed that they sleep briefly, have visualizations, see colors, experience psychic downloads, and have emotional breakthroughs.
One of my capabilities is the creation of a treatment specific to a client’s symptomatic state and their intention for their sound healing. Examples of specific intentions include: ground, relax, restore, empower, transmute, and rebalance. With my method, you will experience how sound can penetrate each of your energetic bodies and support you in your inner process.
Responses to sound therapy are individual, of course, but some of what clients experience are:
The feeling of being present and more grounded. A deep penetrating relaxation that is restorative and empowering. A restful awareness that carries forward through the day and the ability to be more open to life.
Along with the these experiences, clients in rehab settings have reported that sound therapy supported the other processes of therapy they undergo, giving them a feeling of safety which allowed them to open, speak and share.
What Are The Benefits of Sound Healing?
In addition to the benefits from personal experience cited above, many traditional indigenous healing methods have similarly used sound therapy to balance the chakras, expand consciousness, and promote healing. In more recent years, scientific researchers have found that sound therapy causes measurable emotional and physical responses in the body, including:

How Do I Prepare for Sound Healing?
A sound healing session will be effective whether or not the attendees prepare ahead. But a few tips will enhance the experience and help lead to a greater outcome:
Ensure proper hydration
Eat a light, healthy meal an hour or so prior
Wear loose and comfortable clothing
Essentially, the more comfortable you are, the more you will be able to fully relax into the experience – for example, not being distracted by hunger or clothing. Hydration also relaxes the body and prepares it to receive the waves of vibration which move in a fluid manner. As the body is 60% water, it is a great conductor for sound healing pathways.
After-Care Reminders
Plan on allowing the body to relax.
Drink extra water to flush out any toxins released by the cells.
Enjoy a cup of herbal tea and avoid iced drinks.
Avoid electronics for as long as possible.
Avoid going into stressful situations.
Earth/ground. Walk barefoot on the beach or in nature.
Surround yourself with beauty. Buy or pick some fresh flowers.
Engage in some light movement, according to your energy level.
Be kind to yourself and choose for you.
Spend time alone or with people who appreciate you exactly as you are
